My Cars
My pickup is Dusty Blue, the Jeep is Ginger, and the Mercedes.
Well, that's Miss Bessie.
Dusty 1963 Ford F100
Miss Bessie 1989 560 SL Mercedes
Ginger 1978 Jeep Cherokee Chief
I got them at different times, but over the span of about seven years—starting with Ginger, and then the others followed.
Do you work on your cars?
Yes, I handle as much as I can on my own.
When doing mechanical work, does it form a special bond with your car?
I feel a deep sense of pride and accomplishment when working on these cars. They're classics that demand constant TLC, and it brings me so much joy to see how incredible they are—especially when they roar to life and you hear that engine revving. There's nothing quite like it!
How and where did you learn how to work on cars?
My older brother George, a true car fanatic, taught me most of what I know. Of course, as I got older, it became easier to let someone else handle the tougher jobs.
When did your passion for cars begin?
I think the first time my brother David and I "borrowed" the keys to George’s 1970 Plymouth GTX while he was at work. I was only 13 years old—LOL!

Would you ever buy an electric car?
