Do you work on your car?
I have worked on my car for the last four years, teaching myself the little things here and there but mostly working with my friends outside my antique store, Biggie's Bodega, to fix major issues. I am fortunate to have friends who also love antique cars. Being able to work on my car aesthetically and mechanically makes it feel like mine, even though she has had many owners.
When did your passion for cars begin?
My passion for antique cars began at a young age with my grandfather, who has always collected them. He would pick me up from school and sports games in his antique cars, and it was always something I looked forward to.
What was your first car?
My first car was a 1980s little orange Jeep Wrangler.
Is there a dream car? Another vintage car you would love to have.
My dream car is a 1950s Buick special. It was the first car my grandfather had as a teenager.
You are driving your car on a great road, describe how it makes you feel in 3 words?
Nostalgia, love and freedom!
What do your friends and family think of your passion for cars?
My friends love my car because it’s unique. My family shares the same sentiment, especially since it continues a passion that started with my grandfather.
Would you ever buy an electric car?
No. Never
