Serving: Approx. 4 cups

Can be stored in 2-pint jars. Glass Mason jars are ideal.

Pikliz is a flavorful spicy condiment made of spices and vegetables marinated in vinegar.

6-8 Habaneros chiles: unseeded and cut crosswise 1/4-inch slices.

1 cup of shredded cabbage

1 cup of shredded carrots

1 red bell pepper finely julienned

7 shallots finely sliced

2 cups of vinegar (White or Apple cider)
Peppercorns

Pikliz

Pikliz is spicy hot; use with caution. You can lower the heat by using fewer chiles if preferred.
Place all ingredients in one large or split into 2 glass jars, then add vinegar. Throw in a handful of black peppercorns.
Keep it refrigerated, and it will be ready in 3 days
